Not A Silo In Sight
Webinar It is estimated that by 2025 there will be 181 zettabytes of data being used and consumed, which is a dizzying, almost incredible amount. And the UK government recognizes that unlocking the value of that data is key to the country's economic and digital growth having set out its aims in the National Data Strategy.
But while business seems largely cognizant of the challenges involved in adopting a data-first approach, what about the public sector? How could a data-first strategic evolution transform its service delivery and lead to an improved experience for those who use public services?
The old days of filling in paper forms have given way to online services, but at the same time a lot of the date being digitally harvested remains locked in silos. A different approach could lead not only to a rethink in service design, but also an end to silos and an increase in 'value' in whatever form that takes.
You can find out more by joining our webinar - From cloud first to data first – on 17 October 11am BST/6am EDT/3am PDT. The Register's Tim Phillips will be chatting to HPE's Russell Macdonald about just how the public sector can benefit from a data-first approach while navigating the inevitable challenges and risks along the way.
