PartnerRe appoints new board member

Global reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the appointment of Jacques Bonneau to its board of directors.

Bonneau has held multiple executive roles. He most recently served as group chief underwriting officer at Chubb from 2014 to 2017 and as CEO of Chubb Tempest Re Group between 2005 and 2014. He also served for six years as CEO of Chubb Tempest Re USA.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Jacques,” said Brian Dowd, PartnerRe board chairman. “His extensive career in the reinsurance industry spans 41 years, and he brings a deep professional expertise that will further strengthen the board’s breadth of talent.”

With Bonneau’s appointment, the PartnerRe board now consists of six directors, of which four are independent directors.
