Optio Group Launches Active Assailant Cover
As it looks to grow its political violence and terrorism (PVT) proposition, Optio Group has announced the addition of active assailant cover.
The group, which consists of MGAs Cove Programs, Ascent Underwriting and Optio Underwriting, has a PVT team led by Chris Kirby and has secured Lloyd’s capacity to underwrite active assailant, terrorism, strikes, riots and civil commotion across both Canada and the US.
According to Kirby, the product will now be underwritten by Optio Underwriting and distributed via the platform Optio Connect.
“Specifically tailored for the North American market, it dovetails with our sabotage, terrorism, riots, and civil commotion coverage to meet the demands of brokers and clients,” he said. “Partnering with R3C further creates a tremendous level of available support from one of the pre-eminent companies in the global crisis management arena.”
