Liberty Specialty Markets Names Europe Head Of Digital Strategy

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has appointed Carl Faulkner (pictured above) to the newly created role of head of digital strategy for Continental Europe. Faulkner is based in Paris and reports to Kadidja Sinz, head of LSM Europe and Parul Kaul-Green, chief digital strategy officer, LSM.
Faulkner joined LSM from BNP Paribas, where he was head of digital for five years. He also previously held the roles of distribution and transformation director for Japan and head of global insurance e-business, based in Paris. Faulkner is no stranger to the European insurance market, having led Chubb’s e-commerce sales and distribution across 20 countries in the EMEA region.
According to LSM, Faulkner’s hiring is part of its recently established digital strategy function, which encompasses distribution, underwriting and digital products. Faulkner is responsible for implementing the digital underwriting strategy in Europe, working with LSM’s brokers and partners.
“We are thrilled to bring Carl on board to drive our digital strategy,” Sinz said. “His extensive experience in European markets will help to support LSM’s position as a digital market leader. We look forward to working together to continue servicing our brokers and partners with innovative technology solutions.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Carl to LSM at this exciting time in our digital transformation,” Kaul-Green said. “LSM is well-positioned in the market to deliver forward-thinking solutions and his wealth of experience will be a major asset.”
