Iroquois Group Hires New Middle Market & Specialty VP
Iroquois Group has appointed Charles Venus (pictured) as vice-president of middle market & specialty – a new position created by the insurance agency network.
Venus was most recently the commercial lines leader for Brown & Brown of Virginia. Prior to joining Brown & Brown, he served in a number of leadership roles with Travelers and The Hartford.
He is a graduate of the University of New Orleans, where he obtained his undergraduate degree and MBA. Venus now lives in Northern Virginia.
“Charlie is uniquely qualified to fill this new role for Iroquois, based on his years of working with national carriers and strong regional agencies,” commented Iroquois Group executive officer Matt Ward in a statement. “His knowledge of our carrier-partner’s appetite for middle market and specialty lines will greatly assist our members in writing more of this business.”
