SwitchBot's New Air Purifier Is Also A Table, Phone Charger, And A Lamp
SwitchBot is an eclectic smart home brand, developing some very interesting gadgets from its Universal Remote to its 3-in-1 vacuum kit. This time, the company is making another hybrid device combining an air purifier with a wireless phone charger.

It's called the Air Purifier Table and has an oval-shaped wooden platform sitting on top of it. There, you will find a Plus icon revealing the location of the wireless charger. Users can place a Qi-compatible smartphone over it to charge the battery. Even if you don't own a Qi-compatible phone, the device can still double as a nightstand next to your bed.
Unfortunately, we don't know which Qi standard is being used on the Air Purifier Table. This is an important distinction. Standard Qi chargers usually send up to 7.5W of power to iPhones while Qi 2 chargers deliver 15W. The latter enables faster charging speeds. SwitchBot, for whatever reason, didn't provide any extra details.
The purifier consists of a three-layer filtration system that cleans the surrounding air of pet fur, bacteria, and any lingering odors. The gadget sports a 360-degree array that can quickly refresh average-sized rooms. SwitchBot claims the Air Purifier Table can clean up a 20-square-meter room in about seven minutes. And it's quiet, too, at 20 decibels max.
Additionally, the base below the wooden platform is a lamp. It can shine in "10 interchangeable colors [across] three adjustable brightness levels." These range from Soft to Moderate to Bright. Other notable features include a small tray for fragrances and three "intuitive" operations modes.

The Air Purifier Table is available for pre-order on SwitchBot's website for $269.99. The shipping date is set for mid-November. An exact date wasn't given.
If you're interested in a second option, the company is selling the cheaper Air Purifier. The main difference between the two is that the second model lacks the wireless charger and doesn't have a lamp with interchangeable colors. Besides that, it appears they're the same. It retails for $219.99 and "is expected to ship [out] at the end of September."
