The political tension between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is tight and hot. The crypto community is counting on both candidates to help make crypto regulations manageable. Now, the 45th President of the United States is set to make a speech at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, TN.
In the beginning, Trump was a Bitcoin critic. However, all that changed when he rolled out his first NFT. Now, Trump’s support for the American Bitcoin industry has won over crypto voters to his side.
According to the Bitcoin 2024 conference announcement, “Trump announced his support for the American Bitcoin industry in May 2024, advocating for financial freedom and the growth of the U.S. Bitcoin industry on the global stage.”
Trump will speak alongside Russell Brand, Ark’s Founder and CEO Cathie Wood, Microstrategy’s Michael Saylor, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Above all, Edward Snowden will make an appearance.
Snowden, the author of the new memoir Permanent Record, is a former CIA officer and National Security Agency (NSA) consultant who “risked everything to expose the U.S. government’s system of mass surveillance.”
The Bitcoin Conference’s official accounts will livestream the conference to global crypto investors. Trump will deliver his speech on July 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. Trump has promised to support the Bitcoin industry if he is re-elected president in November.
Trump, at the Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C., on 26th May 2024, said, “...I will make sure that the future of Bitcoin will be made in the USA and not driven overseas. I will support the right to self-custody… And I will never allow the creation of the Central Bank Digital Currency.“
Trump’s bets on Polymarket have gone up. On the ‘Presidential Election Winner 2024,’ Trump has a 62% chance of being POTUS, while Kamala Harris follows with 14% and Joe Biden with 13%.
