Encouraged by strong demand on the route and anticipated uptick in the upcoming summer season, Vistara will upgrade its daily Delhi – Bali route to its largest aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, effective 31 March 2024.
Vistara launched daily, nonstop flights on the route in December 2023, operated thus far by its A321LR aircraft.
For now, Vistara remains the only airline offering nonstop service between Delhi and Denpasar.
The 1-2-1 configured business class cabin offers direct aisle access to each passenger, an upgrade over the 2-2 configured A321LR.
“We are delighted to announce the deployment of our state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for flights between Delhi and Bali. This strategic decision to increase capacity underscores Vistara’s commitment to optimizing operations in response to the remarkable performance of the Delhi – Bali route and the constant surge in demand for direct connectivity between India and Indonesia,” said Deepak Rajawat, chief commercial officer of Vistara.
Vistara earlier this week took delivery of its seventh 787-9. In addition to the 30 lie-flat business class seats, the aircraft also feature 21 2-3-2 configured premium economy class seats, as well as 248 3-3-3 configured economy class seats.
