Star Alliance carrier Singapore Airlines has opened a new SilverKris Lounge at Perth airport for its business class and qualifying frequent travellers.
The airline will also be returning to its pre-Covid frequency of four daily services at Perth airport next month.
Singapore Airlines has served Perth for more than 55 years.
“Ahead of the resumption of four daily flights next month between Perth to Singapore, eligible passengers can now enjoy an enhanced ground experience before take-off. The newly opened lounge features SIA’s Home Away from Home design concept, offering guests a spacious and welcoming environment.
Our lounge is now double in size, and features a live cooking station, a fully tended cocktail bar, and comfortably seats 135 customers,” Singapore Airlines said.
The airline currently operates 25 flights a week on the Perth-Singapore route which will increase to a fourth daily flight from 31 March 2024 with additional SQ213 and SQ226 services.
Singapore Airlines’ fourth daily flight will use an Airbus A350-900 which offers 303 seats (40 business and 263 economy class seats), bringing 220,584 more seats to the Perth market annually.
The carrier deploys a mix of A350-900 and Boeing 787-10 aircraft on the other three daily services on the Singapore-Perth route.
