The Ruby Group has added its 18th hotel in Europe with the opening of its first property in Ireland.
The 272-room Ruby Molly is located on East Arran Street, just north of the River Liffey and a ten-minute walk from Temple Bar.
The property is located on the former grounds of St Mary’s Abbey, founded in 846, which was later transformed into a lively market quarter.
The hotel draws inspiration from the site’s history and “this meeting of rural and urban”, featuring sumptuous fabrics, marble and glass juxtaposed with distressed leather, vintage tiles, blackened steel, cartwheels and baskets. The hotel also boasts a library featuring archaeological discoveries from the surrounding area.
A hybrid bar space features digital check-in screens, and also serves breakfast, bottomless barista coffee, Mediterranean-inspired snacks and cocktails, alongside live performances by up-and-coming brands.
The hotel features five room categories, starting from the 16 sqm Nest and 17 sqm Cosy – designed for solo travellers – to the 18-22 sqm Lovely, 25 sqm Wow and Loft rooms (the latter come with a private terrace) for longer stays.
