Hilton has announced plans to open the first Nigerian property under its lifestyle Canopy by Hilton brand.

Canopy by Hilton Lagos Victoria Island will feature 176 rooms and suites, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, rooftop bar, cafe and ten meeting spaces including a 300sqm conference room.

The hotel will be located on Ahmadu Bello Way with views of the Atlantic Ocean and close to the ongoing Eko Atlantic satellite city development.

Meanwhile Hilton has also signed an agreement to bring its Garden Inn to the southeastern Nigerian city of Enugu.

The 150-room Hilton Garden Inn Enugu will feature an all day dining restaurant, an outdoor pool, three meeting spaces, a lobby bar and a shop.

The property will be located within a new district going by the name of HELIU Health Tourism District & Residences, which will offer a hospital, shopping centre, office park, tech hub, convention centre and high-end residences.

The two hotels will join the existing Transcorp Hilton Abuja, and the Legend Hotel Lagos Airport, Curio Collection by Hilton which opened in 2018.

A second Curio property is also under development on Lagos’ coastline close to Snake Island and is expected to open in 2025.

Koko Beach Resort Ilashe Lagos, Curio Collection by Hilton will feature 60 rooms, a private beach, an outdoor pool, horse stables, a cinema and a sports complex.
