One-of-its kind entertainment and experiential venue is set to launch at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
The venue will be built by Embassy Group, India’s real-estate and urban infrastructure developer, Phase 1 Experiences, a large-scale events organisation and Live Nation Entertainment, a live entertainment company, and is expected to open in the next 18 to 20 months.
Here, the Live Nation will act as consultant to the consortium on the development of the project.
Moreover, India’s popular music entrepreneur and festival curator, Nikhil Chinapa will be a part of this project as a strategy and communications lead.
This entertainment area will have four experience zones, which will be used to host multi-genre events such as concerts, theatrical performances, sport events as well as large-scale conferences.
A supersize dome will accommodate about 9,000 people. Another dome will hold a capacity of 2,000 people; an expansive outdoor space will be occupied for open-air events and a contemporary pop-up zone designed for social networking and curated experiences.
Rao Munukutla, chief real estate officer, BIAL says, “BIAL is pleased to announce the partnership with two market leaders in their respective areas of expertise. This is a significant stepping stone towards making the BLR Airport a hub of entertainment, not just for Bengaluru, but for the entire Country.
“This arena would be a first-of-its-kind to be created at an airport and the first multi-purpose venue in India to host events and other activity. This brings to life a new facet in BIAL’s commitment to offer unparalleled services to passengers and visitors, alike.”
