Binance’s new platform for pre-list tokens, Binance Alpha, recently announced the fourth batch of tokens added to the selection pool. The new batch includes tokens like KOGE, BANANA, GNON, LUCE and others.
In Binance Alpha’s fourth batch of pre-listed tokens, the platform has selected are a mix of Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH) and BNB (BNB) -based tokens. The batch includes nine tokens that were chosen based on aspects such as strong community interest, traction and hot trends.
On Dec. 20, Binance Alpha released a notice unveiling the tokens included in batch number four to be Banana, Koge, Bob, Magic Power, pStake, Numogram, Shoggoth, Luce, and Odos.
Although the crypto exchange made it clear that tokens being featured in Alpha’s selection pool does not guarantee that they will all be listed on the exchange formally, Binance stated that these tokens “may even be considered for listings on the Binance Exchange in the future.”
Unlike official Binance listings that are known to catapult a token’s value shortly after announcements, it appears that Binance Alpha selection pool announcements have little to no affect on selected tokens.
According to data from CoinGecko, the BOB token is down 23.2% in the past 24 hours of trading, while BANANA and PSTAKE also plummeted by 14.4% and 7% respectively. LUCE, MGP and KOGE all dipped by around 0 to 1% and in the same time period.
The only token that seems to be doing well is ODOS, which saw its price surge by 18.7% in the past day. Another is GNON, going up by 10.8%. SHOGGOTH also saw a slight uptick by 3%.
Previously, Binance Alpha announced the third batch of tokens on Dec. 19, which included FROG, MONKY, TERMINUS, CLANKER, GRIFFAIN, and CGPT among others.
As previously reported by crypto.news, Binance Alpha is a platform that is part of the wider Binance Wallet and serves as a selection pool for early-stage crypto projects within the ecosystem. The new platform offers users the chance to explore selected project that have potential to be listed on the Binance exchange.
