Several carriers have launched pre-Christmas sales, with discounted fares departing London and Manchester.
British Airways
The flag carrier’s world sale runs until January 30, for selected travel dates throughout 2018. Highlighted fares include from £300 return to Boston, from £425 to Mexico City, and from £312 to Dubai.
BA is also offering a number of Club World discounted fares, including £1,381 return to New York. And those looking to travel in first class to North America can currently get First tickets for just £200 more each way than Club World (except on flights to LA).
Virgin Atlantic
The Virgin Atlantic sale runs until February 8, with discounted fares departing Manchester and London, across economy, premium economy and Upper Class.
Examples fares include from £371 return in economy between London and New York, from £789 return in premium economy between Manchester and Las Vegas, and from £1,389 return in Upper Class between London and Boston.
Virgin Holidays
Virgin Atlantic’s sister company Virgin Holidays has also announced its winter sale, with “savings of up to 47 per cent off the price of holidays”.
The sale runs from December 23 to February 8, with highighted offers including:

- four nights in Dubai from £499pp
- three nights in Miami from £549pp
- three nights in New York from £675pp
- four nights in Las Vegas from £685pp
- seven nights in St Lucia from £769pp

- seven nights in Orlando from £799pp
Cathay Pacific
The Hong Kong-carrier’s winter sale runs until February 28, with discounts on flights from both London and Manchester, and across economy, premium economy and business class cabins.
Examples fares include from £489 return in economy from London to destinations including Wuhan, Nanjing, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Changsha, and from £2,999 return in business class from either London or Manchester to Perth.
