Members of Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer programme can get double the usual status credits this week on select flight bookings, potentially allowing for faster progression through the programme’s tiers.
Bookings have to be made by Monday, May 27 and are applicable for flights departing before April 14, 2020.
That being said, the double status credit offer isn’t available for all routes, being restricted to domestic flights, services to and from New Zealand and international short-haul flights.
Essentially, this rules out the airline’s new services to Hong Kong as well as its flights to Los Angeles.
Members have to sign up for the promotion before making their bookings. Enrolment can be done here.
The Velocity Frequent Flyer programme has three tiers – Silver, Gold and Platinum.
Benefits among all levels includes priority check-in and bonus points earned on flights booked with the airline, while lounge access is restricted to just Gold and Platinum-tier members.
