Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red have launched a new offer of bonus Virgin Points for flights booked in the coming days.

Flying Club members can earn up to 20,000 bonus points when booking flights up until 4 September, for travel between 1 September, 2023, and 31 May, 2024.

Members booking return flights in economy (including Economy Classic and Economy Delight but excluding Economy Light) will earn 5,000 bonus points, while those booking Premium (premium economy) flights will earn 10,000 bonus points.

Finally customers booking Upper Class flights will earn 20,000 bonus points. Members booking one-way flights will receive half the bonus points on offer.

Note that the terms and conditions for the offer state that bookings on codeshare and partner airline flights are not eligible for the bonus points, nor are reward seat bookings – but Points Plus Money bookings are eligible.

Meanwhile Virgin has also launched its latest fare promotion, offering up to £50 off all flights in economy and Premium, and £100 off Upper Class tickets.

The carrier’s website is also advertising “up to an incredible £2,000 off Upper Class” on selected US routes.

Bookings must be made by 2359 on 15 September. Travel dates are not specified, with the terms and conditions stating simply that “Select dates may be excluded from the discounts”.

The T&Cs also state that “Flying Club Points, bonus Points and tier points are available on selected flights”, and a spokesperson for Virgin Atlantic has confirmed that the two promotions above can be used in tandem.
