The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, in collaboration with Bureau Veritas certification company, has launched Suraksha, a comprehensive health and safety programme.
As a part of this, contactless check-in and checkout will be provided across Leela properties with the facility of paying through the phone. Use of high bar pressure dry steam cleaners for housekeeping; electrostatic sprayers, a hospital-grade disinfectant and complete access to digital news and e-papers instead of print newspapers are few tech approaches that will be adopted.
On the dining front, e-menu will be introduced for guests to view on their respective phones; restaurant seating will ensure social distancing; hand sanitisers will be available at the outlets; hygiene training for staff; kitchen team will use personal protective equipment (PPE) kits and natural immunity-boosting beverages will be added to the menu.
Regular temperature checks; deep cleaning and application of disinfectants in guest rooms, fitness centres and restaurants; cleaning of all high-touch points like door handles, elevator buttons, countertops, tabletops and railings and use of hotel cars for transferring guests (sanitisation and inspection of all cars will be inspected by the concierge team) are some other features of the Suraksha project.
Anuraag Bhatnagar, chief operating officer, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts said,” To reiterate our commitment, we are redefining our hygiene and cleaning protocols with the launch of a comprehensive programme designed in coherence with our partners.
