Since it opened its doors in 1999, The Konkan Café has been an iconic restaurant destination, famed for it’s authentic, eclectic South West coastal cuisine. After reimagining the authentic dining scene for over two decades, The Konkan Café is all set to welcome its guests once again, in a refreshed avatar. The refreshing new look is inspired by the traditional Nalukettu homes of Kerala. Headed by Directory of Culinary Operations Uddipan Chakravarthy, The Konkan Café offers – an authentic south west coast flair and flavour. Guests can choose from an array of delicacies from the simple to sumptuous – that until now could probably only be found in the homes along the Konkan coast.
Another exciting addition, further enhancing the fine dining experience, is the Konkan Café Bar, where patrons can enjoy everything from beers to wine-by-the-glass, and an extensive range of collection of spirited Konkani cocktails.
Executive Chef Uddipan Chakravarthy says, “Traditional techniques bring a sense of authenticity to the plate. It is important to not tamper with the cooking technique and to keep it simple. At The Konkan Cafe, the food – sol kadi, fried crisps, thalis and Malbari stew – still tastes the way it first did.”
