Swire Hotels has announced plans to open its first hotel under The House Collective brand in Shenzhen Bay.
The as-yet unnamed property is set to open in 2025 and comprise 115 rooms and 44 serviced residences. It will be part of a mixed-used development designed by Buro Ole Scheeren, located in the city’s commercial centre and close to the Shenzhen Bay Bridge which links the city to Hong Kong and Guangdong Province.
Toby Smith, deputy chairman of Swire Hotels, commented:
“We are thrilled to be announcing our new House in Shenzhen, building on the success of our existing properties in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong.
“We are looking forward to expanding the brand in the Greater Bay Area, the fastest growing and most dynamic region in the Chinese Mainland.”
Swire Hotels introduced The House Collective in 2015 and the portfolio includes The Opposite House in Beijing, The Upper House in Hong Kong, The Temple House in Chengdu and The Middle House in Shanghai. The group recently announced plans to open its first house in Japan, due to open in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2027.
