Swiss business class customers on long-haul services are now able to pre-select their inflight meal online.
All long-haul flights departing from Zurich and Geneva from June 1 are eligible for the new service, with customers able to place their order at swiss.com/preselect between four weeks and 36 hours before scheduled departure.
The service also means passengers can choose from a wider range of main dishes, including the four options featured in the current cycle of the ‘Swiss Taste of Switzerland’ culinary programme, alongside four further pre-selection-only dishes.
Three of these are inspired by Swiss cuisine – sliced veal in cream sauce, meatloaf with morel sauce, and perch fillets with lemon butter – while the fourth is a red vegetable curry with basmati rice from Zurich’s Hiltl vegetarian restaurant.
The move follows the recent addition of a pre-selection service for Swiss’ economy buy-on-board dining menu, available on short and medium-haul flights to or from Zurich or Geneva and over 50 minutes in duration.
The long-haul pre-selection option complements the carrier’s dine-when-you-want service for business class customers which was launched last year.
