Six Senses Duxton and Six Senses Maxwell
Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will introduce its first city hotel in Singapore this spring. Split across two hotels – Six Senses Duxton and Six Senses Maxwell – Six Senses Singapore is located in Chinatown, about 30 minutes by car from Changi International Airport.
Six Senses Duxton will be the first of the two hotels to open in April. Guests can expect large golden fans and a distinctive black, gold and yellow colour scheme, layered with Asian screens and calligraphy wallpaper inspired by the personal collection of the hotel’s designer, Anoushka Hemper.
The 49-room property offers fine dining Chinese cuisine as well as a library-themed lobby bar serving signature house cocktails. A particularly unique feature is the ability to book an appointment with the in-house traditional Chinese doctor, who can provide readings, health recommendations and a medicinal herbal remedies.
Opening in July this year, meanwhile, is Six Senses Maxwell that notably will feature handmade mattresses by Naturalmat and organic bed linens in all 138 of the hotel’s rooms. A “colonial meets modern Europe”-style restaurant, Eat With Six Senses, will offer a healthy menu and fresh local and seasonal food and drink, while other refreshments can be had at the Champagne bar and lounge, whisky bar and club lounge. Other facilities will include the Six Senses Spa, an outdoor lap pool, and a boardroom.
