Earlier this year Radisson Hotel Group also added the first property under its independent hotel focused Radisson Individuals brand in Turkey.
Royan Hotel Hagia Sophia Istanbul, a member of Radisson Individuals, is situated in the Sultanahmet area of the city, and features 49 rooms with views onto either the hotel’s gardens or the Marmara Sea, as well as a rooftop restaurant and lobby lounge.
Commenting on the news Yilmaz Yildirimlar, senior vice president central, Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey, said:
“We are delighted to announce the Group’s second Radisson Collection property in Turkey and the first in Istanbul with the opening of Radisson Collection Hotel, Vadistanbul and introduce our Radisson Collection brand to Istanbul.
“The hotel’s strong service standards and our global expertise will bring additional value to its guests looking to travel to Istanbul and enjoy the city’s prime location.
“And we proud to reinforce our presence in Istanbul as the largest brand and with an ambition to become the largest operator in the city.”
The Radisson Collection was launched in 2018 as a replacement for the Quorvus Collection, as part of wider group restructuring which saw Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group renamed as the Radisson Hotel Group.
Recent openings include Radisson Collection Hotel, Tallinn, and Radisson Collection Hotel, Gran Via Bilbao.
Radisson Collection Hotel, Vadistanbul is the second Turkish property under the brand, joining an existing hotel in Aspat Bay to the south of the Bodrum peninsula.
