NEOM in Saudi Arabia has announced Epicon, its latest luxury coastal tourism destination which includes a residential component too.
Located on the Gulf of Aqaba, Epicon features two towers, one 225m tall and the other 275m.
The towers will house an ultra-premium 41-key hotel and luxury residences that includes 14 suites and apartments.
A short distance from the hotel is the Epicon resort, which will have 120 rooms and 45 residential beach villas. Epicon will also feature a beach club, spa for bespoke wellness treatments, restaurants, a gym, library, workspaces, pools and lounges.
NEOM introduces new sustainable tourism destination of Leyja
Epicon follows weeks after NEOM introduced another tourism destination called Leyja which extends from the Gulf of Aqaba coast in the west inland towards a natural valley carved between 400m high mountains. Hospitality brand, Our Habitas, has announced the addition of three new properties that will be built in Leyja. Three hotels are confirmed to be built in Leyja. They will offer a combined total of 120 boutique rooms and suites, split equally with 40 keys at each of them.
The first property is tailor-made for adventure. NEOM says that the deconstructed design “ascends the walls of the wadi like a staircase…folded into the cliff top and valley sides” that will facilitate activities such as rock climbing experiences in the surrounding area.
The second property sits at the heart of the wadi’s largest oasis and has a distinctive architectural feature of a staircase ascending from the canyon to the entrance of the property.
The third hotel is an immersive wellness retreat that promotes longevity with a high-tech, reflective façade mirroring the surrounding natural landscape.
