A press release states that “tennis courts and a water sports hub are part of the vision for guests to enjoy at W Costa Navarino, along with access to the destination’s four signature golf courses and an array of outdoor programming including biking, hiking, rock-climbing and sailing”.
W Costa Navarino will join two existing Marriot properties in the area – Westin Resort Costa Navarino, and The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort.
There are current 15 under the W Escapes sub-collection, which is described as a collection of properties “located in ski, sand and entertainment destinations around the world, that make the traditional ‘resort’ a last resort”. In Europe these include W Barcelona, W Ibiza and W Verbier.
Marriott recently announced plans for a W hotel in Italy’s Tuscany region, with the W Florence set to open in 2023.
