LOT Polish Airlines has announced its second route to London City airport, with a twice daily service from Budapest.
Flights will depart the Hungarian capital at 0700 (except Sundays) and 1715 (except Saturdays), arriving into LCY at 0845 and 1900 respectively.
The return legs will leave London at 0915 and 1930, landing back into Budapest at 1245 and 2300 respectively.
The route will launch on February 19, 2019, and will be operated by LOT’s new Embraer 190 aircraft which are being leased from Nordic Aviation Capital and configured with 106 seats.
Last month LOT launched flights from Budapest to New York and Chicago, and is also set to open a lounge at Budapest airport in the near future.
The news follows the carrier’s recent announcement of flights between Warsaw and London City, which will launch on January 7.
Commenting on the news Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines, said:
“Being a modern and most dynamically growing airline in Europe, we are very proud we are able to fast-track our development in Hungary. We have opened a new chapter in our history: after the launch of the flights to New York City, Chicago, Kraków, the two daily flights to London City are now added.
“The annual passenger traffic on the Budapest-London route approximates 1.4 million. London City Airport is the most conveniently located airport for those passengers who want to reach central London, including its business districts, in the shortest and most convenient way.
“I am certain that Hungarian passengers will appreciate the new connection thanks to the elevated quality of services.”
