Bespoke Hotels will open the second UK property under its Hotel Brooklyn brand this summer.

The 191-room Hotel Brooklyn, Leicester is scheduled to open in June, and will be located next to Welford Road Stadium, home of the Leicester Tigers rugby team.

As with its sister hotel in Manchester, the Leicester property has again been inspired by New York’s Brooklyn borough, with design features including “an industrial aesthetic, impressive atrium and exposed brickwork”, as well as “‘Ghost’ signage and exposed steel gantries”.

Rooms have been inspired by the borough’s loft spaces, with beds upholstered in Burgundy leather, and feature walls inspired by the Graphic artist MC Escher.

Also like the Manchester outpost, the new hotel will offer accessible rooms overseen by SquidInc, with specific features designed by accessible design company Motionspot.

Manchester’s new Hotel Brooklyn to “champion accessibility”

The property will feature an open plan hub called The Lair, with a stepped seating area dubbed the ‘Grandstand’ for watching films or live sport, surrounded by “big comfy sofas and rich patterned armchairs”.

There will also be a restaurant and bar with a theatre-style kitchen and servery, and three events spaces (Guys, Dolls and Curveballs).

Rates at the Hotel Brooklyn, Leicester start from £90 for a Club Room on a bed and breakfast basis.

Commenting on the news Paul Baylisss MBE, regional general manager of the Hotel Brooklyn Brand, Bespoke Hotels Ltd, said:

“The opening of Hotel Brooklyn, Leicester is probably more exciting than opening our first hotel in Manchester. The hotel has all of what the Brooklyn brand stands for, plus a magnificent array of public spaces. I’m certain Leicester will be very pleased indeed”.
