Iran Air has announced plans to switch its Paris flights to Charles de Gaulle airport next year.
The carrier currently operates a twice weekly service between Tehran and Paris Orly, but has confirmed on its website that it will fly into Paris CDG’s Terminal 1 from March 27, 2018.
According to routesonline.com the A330-200 service will depart Tehran on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1015, landing into CDG at 1400, with the return leg leaving the French capital at 1530 and arriving back into Iran at 2350.
Switching to Charles de Gaulle will allow for greater connectivity to and from Iran Air services – both Air France and privately-owned Iranian carrier Mahan Air operate flights out of Paris CDG.
Late last year Iran Air confirmed a deal with Boeing for 80 single-aisle and wide-bodied aircraft.
In January Business Traveller interviewed the then CEO of Iran Air Farhad Parvaresh (now replaced by Farzaneh Sharafbafi) on the carrier’s ambitions.
