IHG Hotels and Resorts has debuted its Crowne Plaza brand in Vinh Yen, the capital of Vietnam’s Vinh Phuc Province.
Crowne Plaza Vinh Yen City Centre is a 45-minute drive from Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, and a 30-minute drive to Tam Dao National Park and Tay Thien Scenic Relics.
The hotel will be the first in South East Asia to feature the new Crowne Plaza design concept with Worklife Rooms and the Plaza Workspace area in the lobby, both of which have been created with business travellers in mind.
The property has 170 rooms and suites, ranging from 43 to 164 sqm, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking either the Tam Dao mountain or Vinh Yen city. Rooms also feature a standalone bathtub and large-sized amenities from New Zealand-based beauty brand Antipodes.
There is also an executive lounge on the 22nd floor for select guests, which includes early check-in and check-out, complimentary breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, evening canapés and a daily turndown service.
Meetings and events venues include the largest pillarless ballroom in the city at 900 sqm, which holds up to 1,200 guests, as well as outdoor terraces on the fourth floor and the 22nd floor for panoramic views of the Tam Dao mountain.
All day dining spot Hop Kitchen serves international cuisine and Asia’s hot pot options, while Hop Bar offers specialty coffee and local craft beers. Coming soon is Jin restaurant, which will serve traditional Korean barbecue and banchan, along with speakeasy and cigar lounge Jin bar.
Wellness facilities include a spa, nail lounge, fitness centre, yoga studio, outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool.
