IHCL announces its partnership with Tata Strive for a hospitality-focused skill centre at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, aimed at nurturing talent from economically weaker and socially disadvantaged local communities.
Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources, IHCL said, “This initiative is in line with IHCL’s ESG + framework of Paathya to build a talent pool for the hospitality industry, and marks the seventeenth such centre operational in the country. Rajasthan has a very strong growth potential in the tourism sector. We are delighted to partner with Tata Strive for the skill centre in Jodhpur which will offer skill-building programs to deserving youth and also contribute to the overall growth of the industry.”
The first batch with 20 students is being trained in a four-month long F&B course. The course module is designed by IHCL as a knowledge partner and is aligned to NSDC – National Skill Development Corporation with Tata Strive as implementation partner. Under the skill development initiative, Tata Strive also offers a soft-skills program Youth Development Module integrated with domain content.
This collaboration with Tata Strive represents a significant step forward in IHCL’s mission to contribute to the skill development and uplifting of individuals from economically weaker backgrounds.
