Hyatt has announced plans for a new property in Adelaide, to be located on Pirie Street in the city’s central business district.
The Hyatt Regency Adelaide will mark the return of the group to the city, around a decade after the Hyatt Adelaide was rebranded as an Intercontinental hotel.
The new-build property is set to open in early 2023, and will feature 295 rooms, a swimming pool, fitness centre, rooftop bar, Regency Club, Market Café and 750 sqm of events space.
The hotel will join two other Hyatt Regency-branded properties in Australia – The Hyatt Regency Sydney (for a review click here), and The Hyatt Regency Perth.
There are currently a total of seven Hyatt-branded hotels across Australia, plus four more available through the group’s partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Commenting on the news Monika Dubaj, vice president real estate and development, Asia-Pacific, Hyatt, said:
“The development of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide will mark an important re-entry into Adelaide for the brand and also fill a key gap in Hyatt’s domestic Australian network.
“The hotel is part of our strategy to provide more offerings to travellers as we expand in Australia, with new destinations such as Adelaide and Brisbane that will complement our current portfolio of seven hotels in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra.”
