Hyatt and ALDAU Development have entered into a franchise agreement to debut the full-service lifestyle brand, Hyatt Centric, in Egypt.
The 283-Hyatt Centric Cairo West will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Cairo’s Pyramids Heights Business Park.
Hyatt opened its first property in Egypt, the Hyatt Regency Cairo West, in 2021. It is located close to the city’s major business hubs and key tourist attractions.
The Hyatt Centric Cairo West, when it opens, will be among the more than 50 hotels in the Hyatt Centric brand portfolio globally.
The upcoming hotel’s design will, according to Hyatt, “blend cultural elements through the lens of local contemporary artists, incorporating decor that refers to Egyptian crafts, pharaonic heritage and the country’s pop culture.” It will also feature landscaped gardens, a heated outdoor pool, and an art wall.
“We are proud to work with ALDAU Development to bring the Hyatt Centric brand to Egypt,” said Ludwig Bouldoukian, regional vice president of development for the Middle East and Africa at Hyatt. “This signing is an exciting milestone as the hotel will mark the Hyatt Centric brand debut in Africa.”
Bassel Sami Saad, chairman of ALDAU Development, added: “With the city’s key attractions easily accessible, including the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza Pyramids, the lifestyle property will be the perfect fit for business and leisure travellers looking for accommodation in this increasingly popular neighbourhood.”
A number of major hospitality brands have been announcing openings for Cairo and its satellite city of New Cairo. IHG Hotels and Resorts, for example, recently announced that it had partnered with Arkan Palm for Real Estate Investment to build two new hotels in Cairo. The InterContinental West Cairo 205 is scheduled to open in January 2028, while the voco West Cairo 205 Suites will open by June 2026. Also, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said that it will open the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Cairo Capital at Madinaty by 2025.
