The Waldorf Astoria hotel is the second property to be announced under the brand in Japan, joining the forthcoming Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi.
There are around a dozen Conrad hotels throughout China, including the Conrad Jiuzhaigou which is set to open before the end of the year.
Hilton recently signed a multi-hotel deal with Shimao Group Holdings Ltd to open four Chinese properties under its Conrad and Waldorf Astoria brands, including the 700-room Conrad Shanghai which will be the brand’s largest Asian hotel when it opens next year.
Hilton currently operates 30 hotels across its Waldorf Astoria, Conrad and LXR brands in Asia Pacific, with a further 17 hotels in its development pipeline.
