The Hilton Sheffield is to close its doors next month after 20 years of operation.
The hotel group has managed the property since 1999, but has confirmed that it will close on December 15.
The move is a result of Park Victoria Quays Lessee Ltd – on behalf of which Hilton manages the hotel – deciding to surrender the lease on the property.
The 128-room hotel overlooks the canal in Sheffield’s Victoria Quays, and features an indoor swimming pool, Quays restaurant and meeting spaces built within historic railway arches.
It is not yet clear what will become of the property following the closure.
The move will leave Hilton with two properties in Sheffield – the Hampton by Hilton Sheffield, and the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Sheffield Park.
