Plans have been unveiled to renovate and extend the existing Hilton London Olympia, adding hundreds of additional rooms and new rooftop space.
Frogmore and C1 Capital – which together acquired the property in 2022 – have been granted planning consent to more than double the hotel’s room count from 404 to 905 rooms.
Part of the property’s existing structure will be retained, and a new rooftop garden and bar will be added alongside the additional bedrooms.
The hotel is located at 380 Kensington High Street, a few minutes’ walk from Kensington Olympia station.
The area is currently undergoing significant regeneration, with the Olympia London exhibition centre being redeveloped, and new citizenM and Hyatt Regency properties also being built.
The expansion of the Hilton London Olympia will make it the largest hotel to be built in London in a decade, and one of the capital’s biggest hotels alongside the group’s 1,054-room Hilton London Metropole which recently completed its own refurbishment works.
