Hilton has debuted its extended-stay Home 2 Suites brand in Asia Pacific, with a property in the Chinese city of Shenzhen.

Home 2 Suites by Hilton Shenzhen Bao’an is located in the Bao’an district, and offers convenient access to major transport hubs.

The Home 2 Suites brand was launched in 2009 and has surpassed its 500th hotel milestone globally. It aims to allow travellers to maintain their everyday lifestyles, with flexible room configurations and home-like amenities. The rooms include a modular kitchenette and flexible workspace with a ‘working wall’.

Other amenities include a daily complimentary breakfast with Chinese and Western dishes, a 24-hour market offering food, drinks and other essentials, a fitness centre and laundry room, and a multi-functional lobby which includes café Coffee 2 Tea.

The group said that the launch is driven by the rising demand for extended-stay experiences, and that China is experiencing  “buoyant domestic travel demand” along with a “continued urbanisation of second- and third-tier cities.”

A recent report from Hilton revealed that reservations increased by approximately 30 per cent, compared to 2019, in the group’s extended-stay bookings.

As such, Hilton has partnered with Funyard, a subsidiary of Country Garden, to develop over 1,000 properties in China over the next 30 years, which includes a pipeline of over 60 Home 2 Suites properties in major business districts and transport hubs of China’s first tier cities, provincial capitals and emerging markets.
