Current dining options include reindeer burgers, grilled pike perch, warm goat cheese salad, and chicken and vegetable pappardelle pasta.
Gluten free and plant-based dishes are also available, including the “beyond burger”, and guests can sample a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails including Finnair’s signature “Northern Blush” which is also served inflight.
The reopening follows the recent unveiling Finnair’s new business and premium economy seating, and the subsequent launch of new long-haul premium dining concepts.
Business Traveller reviewed the new business class seat earlier this year, on an A330 flight between Heathrow and Helsinki.
Commenting on the news David Kondo, Finnair’s head of airport customer experience, said:
“We know our customers love the Platinum Wing, so we are very excited to re-open and welcome back guests with great personal service and exciting new dining options.
“The sleek design, taking cues from the best of Nordic furniture design tradition and Nordic nature, is used throughout the lounge and is followed through onboard on newly designed long-haul Business Class, brand new Premium Economy cabin and refreshed Economy seats.”
