EVA Air has announced plans to launch nonstop flights from Taipei to Milan and Munich.
The twice-weekly service from Taoyuan International airport to Milan Malpensa will begin on October 25, followed by four-times-weekly flights to Munich on November 3. Timings are as follows:
BR95 Taipei-Milan departs 2150, arrives 0615 (the following day)
BR96 Milan-Taipei departs 1100, arrives 0615 (the following day)
BR71 Taipei-Munich departs 2310, arrives 0725 (the following day) OR departs 2340, arrives 0755 (the following day)
BR72 Munich-Taipei departs 1140, arrives 0640 (the following day) OR departs 1230, arrives 0730 (the following day)
Flights will arrive in the early morning, allowing passengers to connect onward to northeast and southeast Asia.
The airline had planned to launch the Milan service in February 2020 but this was postponed due to the pandemic.
This marks the carrier’s first route expansion in the European market in 25 years. It already flies nonstop to Paris and Vienna and operates flights to London and Amsterdam with a stop in Bangkok.
