Before the pandemic Eurostar would hold numerous seat sales on which Business Traveller reported.
So I am pleased to tell you that today Eurostar (which has now merged with Thalys) has once again reintroduced its seat sale.
Fares are £29 one-way from London to Lille, Paris, Brussels, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. This fare is based on buying a round-trip ticket.
It’s different with Thalys. Its £29 fare can be booked one-way, but it is offered only as a Brussels-Amsterdam or Brussels-Cologne tag (Brussels-Cologne priced at Euros 29) to the Eurostar (London-Brussels sector).
Most importantly note that bookings must be made by November 10.
Travel is allowed between November 28 and February 2, 2023 inclusive.
This is turning out to be a popular seat sale. Indeed after it was launched this morning the website crashed although at time of writing it is again in operation
On its home page Eurostar.com boasts of 40,000 seats at £29 each way. If you click the link you will see the booking pages showing which dates still offer the £29 fares. These are limited because Eurostar has been running with high load factors in recent months.
