A part of Marriott International, Element by Westin announced its debut in Australia with the opening of Element Melbourne Richmond.

Located in the new Botanicca Corporate Park on the banks of Yarra River, the hotel is just six km from the city centre and is close to Melbourne Cricket Ground and Victoria Arts Centre.

Designed by renowned architects Rothelowman, Element Melbourne Richmond features a curved façade, highlighting the winding Yarra river and Australian-flora inspired tones are found throughout the interiors.

The 163 rooms and five deluxe balcony king rooms are thoughtfully created with extra space, natural light, spa-inspired bathrooms and a signature Heavenly bed. A select number of rooms also have energy-efficient kitchenettes.

There is a multi-functional dining space that serves the brand’s signature Rise breakfast comprising of healthy options such as chef-made omelet, a fresh fruit and yoghurt station and locally-supplied coffee and tea. Other F&B outlets are Mint Lane Restaurant and Bar serving Australian delights; Relax for local beers, wines and small bites; and the 24-hour Restore grab-and-go pantry for guests to stock up on snacks.

An ideal pick for corporate travellers, the hotel is equipped with high-end meeting spaces, spread across 256 sqm of space. Set up on level five, rooms can be configured to accommodate between 12 and 250 guests. There is also an outdoor deck overlooking Melbourne’s skyline and CBD.

For those looking for some recreational activities, the property has a round-the-clock fitness centre and the hotel’s Bikes-to-borrow programme allows guests to workout outdoors on bike paths connecting to Melbourne’s CBD.
