Deutsche Hospitality has entered into a franchise agreement with Valor Hospitality and Globus Hotels to open its first property in Uzbekistan next year.
The IntercityHotel Tashkent located in the country’s capital will open in Q1 2023.
The new property is situated in commercial hub of Mirabad, a central location just minutes away from Islam Karimov Tashkent International airport, as well as tourist sights, business centres and train stations.
The 122-key property will include amenities such as a full-service gym, spa facilities, and two restaurants within the hotel itself.
“Valor Hospitality has long pursued opportunities in Uzbekistan, and we are thrilled to be announcing the IntercityHotel Tashkent,” said Julien Bergue, co-founder and managing partner for Valor Hospitality Partners Middle East and CIS. “Following our signing of the Hyatt Regency in Bukhara last year, making it the city’s first five-star hotel, we partnered with Deutsche Hospitality to bring diversity to the Uzbekistan hospitality landscape and become a regional driver. Our local on-the-ground partners HotelsPro continue to support our initiatives in Uzbekistan.”
Deutsche Hospitality’s worldwide footprint extends to over 160 hotels across three continents.
Its regional portfolio currently comprises 23 properties in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, and Egypt. It is expected to launch its Steigenberger Residences Doha in Qatar next month. Complementing the recently opened flagship Steigenberger Hotel Doha, the Residences will include 278 furnished serviced apartments.
Last month, it opened its third Intercityhotel property in Oman. The Intercityhotel Muscat joins two existing properties in Salalah and Nizwa. The new hotel building is located within the Ministry and Embassy district of Al Khuwair and is part of the A’Raya development complex in Muscat. Intercityhotel Muscat features 273 guest rooms ranging from Standard rooms to Deluxe suites.
