Chase Sapphire is opening what is being referred to as “an indoor-outdoor space” at Austin-Bergstrom International airport later this month.
The Sapphire Terrace will be open to departing Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers and up to two guests.
Features include complimentary local beverages such as Austin Eastciders, as well as “convenient grab-and-go bites”, a shuffleboard and artwork by Austin artist and muralist Rex Hamilton.
The facility will be officially unveiled at 1030 local times on March 20, and from then on will be open daily between 1000 and 2000.
Note that the space is being referred to as a terrace rather than a lounge, presumably to differentiate it from the new Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club brand which was unveiled in June 2021.
The first lounge under the brand opened at Hong Kong International airport in October last year, with forthcoming locations including Boston and New York’s LaGuardia.

There are currently no images available of the Sapphire Terrace, but thriftytraveler.com reports that the space will occupy “at least part of public outdoor observation deck that opened a few years ago”.
We will update this article when these are provided around the opening date.
