British Airways has announced plans to return to Abu Dhabi for the first time since early 2020.

Daily year-round flights will restart on 20 April, 2024 operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, complementing the carrier’s service to Dubai which operates up to three-times-daily.

Flight BA73 will depart Heathrow at 2225, arriving into Abu Dhabi at 0830 the following day, with the return leg BA72 leaving the UAE capital at 1010 and landing back into London at 1520.

British Airways will compete with the UAE’s national carrier Etihad on the route, and will operate from the new Terminal A at Abu Dhabi airport, which is set to open next month.

To celebrate the relaunch BA is offering return fares starting from £449 in World Traveller and £1,999 in Club World, for bookings made before 12 November.
