British Airways is extending its trial of reward flights that can be booked for £1.
The new Avios pricing options, which BA trialled on select routes in May, will now expand to all of Europe.
The airline previously charged Executive Club members a flat rate of £35 for taxes, fees and carrier charges in addition to Avios, increasing for Club Europe tickets.
To get the £1 fare, members will need to have earned at least one Avios in the last 12 months.
The airline highlighted fares including return flights in Euro Traveller to Edinburgh for £1 and 16,000 Avios, and Venice for £1 and 22,000 Avios.
It will still be possible to use 9,000 Avios and pay £31 to Edinburgh, or 15,000 Avios plus £35 to Venice, for those who would rather save their points.
Niall Rooney, British Airways’ loyalty manager, commented: “We’re always looking for ways to give our Executive Club customers more options to redeem their Avios.
“Trialling £1 Reward Flight Saver prices means Members can explore the UK and Europe on very little cash and use more Avios. It’s easy to join Executive Club, sign up for free and start collecting Avios.”
