Dubai-based Shamal Holding has announced that it will open a Baccarat Hotel and Residences property in Dubai in 2026.
Baccarat Hotels and Resorts launched in 2015 in New York, and was the first hotel and global flagship of the over 250-year-old Baccarat crystal brand.
Shamal’s latest offering will be the first Baccarat property in the UAE. It will be located in Downtown Dubai.
The Baccarat Hotel and Residences Dubai is crystalline-inspired, and will offer views of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Frame, Al Fahidi Fort and the Dubai Creek.
The hotel is part of a new ultra-luxury, mixed-use development. The hotel will be located in Tower One and will host 144 rooms and suites, along with 49 Baccarat-branded residences and four food and beverage outlets.
The project will be managed by SH Hotels and Resorts, an affiliate of global private investment firm Starwood Capital Group.
The owner of the upcoming property, Shamal Holding, will collaborate closely with H&H Development a Dubai-based real estate investor, developer, and asset manager. The architectural design will be curated by Studio Libeskind and interior design studio, 1508 London. The angular two-towered building will feature glass facades.
“Best known for its regal elegance, the Baccarat brand has one of the richest brand equities in the luxury hospitality sector,” said Abdulla Binhabtoor, chief portfolio management officer at Shamal Holding. “Dubai is known for its luxury hotel portfolio, and we are confident that this mixed-use development will be a new highlight for both residents and visitors. We are working closely with a range of partners as we curate this unique development.”
Regionally, apart from Dubai, another Baccarat hotel has also been confirmed to open in the Diriyah giga project which is located in Riyadh.
