The software glitch continued to have a cascading effect on Air India’s operations on Monday (April 29, 2019) as well. According to a PTI report, around 29 Air India flights were delayed by an hour on Monday.

As per the report, an airline spokesperson stated that a total of 352 flights were operated on Monday.

The technical glitch happened on April 27, when the airline’s passenger system server, operated by Information technology company SITA, was non-functional for more than five hours. The issue happened during scheduled maintenance and repair work. As a result, the staff was unable to issue boarding passes, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded across various Indian airports.
