Air India will introduce a nonstop service between Kolkata and Bangkok starting 23 October.

AI322 will depart Kolkata at 2200 to reach Bangkok at 0205 the next morning.

The return flight AI321 will take off from Bangkok at 0305 to land in Kolkata at 0410.

The route, operated by narrowbody Airbus aircraft, will offer business class and economy class service.

Kolkata-Bangkok will be flown six times a week, from Monday to Saturday.

Air India passengers may connect in Bangkok to 10 popular destinations in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia on the network of Bangkok Airways, an Air India interline partner, as well as countless other domestic and international destinations in the network of Star Alliance partner Thai Airways.

Air India currently operates a total of 14 flights to Bangkok per week with daily nonstop flights from both Delhi and Mumbai.

Separately, Air India is set to connect Kochi, the commercial hub of Kerala, with Doha in Qatar with a daily nonstop service, also commencing 23 October.

AI953 will depart at 0130 to reach Doha at 0345. The return flight AI954 will take off from Doha at 0445 to land back in Kochi at 1135.

The flight, operated by an A320 neo aircraft, will offer 162 seats, comprising 12 in business class and 150 in economy class.

Air India also operates a direct daily flight from Kochi to Dubai.

Air India says the launch is in line with its commitment to expand connectivity and enhance frequency on domestic and international sectors as it augments its fleet with new aircraft on order.
