Air France KLM has introduced a new miles pooling benefit to its Flying Blue loyalty programme.
The service enables any member over the age of 18 to invite up to seven other members (one adult and up to six children) to join a Flying Blue Family, allowing miles to be pooled in the lead account.
Miles could previously be transferred between accounts, but only for a fee, with the exception of members using the Share and Fly feature offered to holders of the Flying Blue American Express credit cards.
The new benefit is now available via members’ online profiles on the Air France and KLM websites.
Air France also highlighted other related benefits of the Flying Blue scheme, including a 25 per cent discount on award tickets for children aged between two and eleven years when travelling with an adult.
There is also no expiry of miles for members under 18, and adult members on parental leave are able to extend their status.
