Accor plans to open a property under its ibis brand at Georgia’s Tbilisi International airport next year.

The 72-room hotel will be located in a new development, a few minutes’ walk from both the airport and railway and bus stations as well as 15 km from the capital.

Designed by a French architect, along with the local team of architects from Art Studio, the property will feature the brand’s Plaza concept, with an open-air lobby dominated by a central bar and rooms including a workplace, wood and metal accents and the brand’s Sweet Bed.

The ibis Kitchen restaurant will offer early and late breakfasts and further facilities will include a modern business centre, meeting rooms and a wine shop in tribute to the country’s wine heritage. There will be complimentary access to wifi for guests at the hotel.

Alexis Delaroff, COO of Accor New East Europe, commented:

“We are delighted to announce the signing of the new hotel under the world-famous ibis brand in one of the most important hubs of Georgia – Tbilisi International Airport, which welcomes more than 3 million people annually.

“We are confident that the new opening will be a real find for tourists and guests of the city, as well as for business travelers and transit passengers. The hotel’s cosy rooms and convenient mobile check-in, along with affordable prices, will brighten up their wait during a stopover or before a long journey.”
