Accor is to introduce two new brands to the UK market next year, with the debut of its Tribe and Jo and Joe concepts in Glasgow.
The group’s midscale lifestyle brand Tribe was launched in 2016, with Accor stating that it would offer a “high-quality hotel experience at an affordable price,” with a “carefully curated offer that focuses on style rather than price.”
Signature facilities and amenities include bike rental, gyms, co-working and meeting spaces, contemporary design, and bedrooms with under-bed storage, smart TVs, Kevin Murphy toiletries and Nespresso machines.
There is currently one Tribe property open in Perth, Australia, and Glasgow will be the first European location, with a target of ten properties under the brand by 2022.
Meanwhile Accor is also set to open the first UK property under its Jo and Joe brand (styled JO&JOE), again in Glasgow.
The brand was also launched in 2016, and was described at the time as blending “the best of private-rental, hostel and hotel formats”, comprising “a vibrant living space, a home that is open to the external world and designed to meet the expectations of Millennials and all those who value sharing, spontaneity and experience”.
