The hotel has over 2,000 sqm of event and meeting space. The event venues include a grand ballroom, six versatile function rooms, and a chapel the hotel said is the first indoor chapel in Wuhan, as well as an outdoor garden. The hotel also has a dedicated team to help those planning events.
In terms of pampering options, there is the Willow Stream Spa featuring treatments and amenities from the UK-based spa brand Aromatherapy Associates, an indoor swimming pool with views of Wuhan’s cityscape and underwater music, as well as the Fairmont Fit fitness centre outfitted with Technogym equipment, a jacuzzi, as well as yoga, sauna and steam rooms.
“Fairmont Wuhan is in the centre of it all in the downtown CBD area, with convenient access to commercial facilities, entertainment, dining and retail options nearby ideal for both business and leisure travellers,” said Jeff Cheng, general manager of Fairmont Wuhan.
Wuhan, the largest city in Central China, is known for its tech and automotive industries. It also plans to become a “world-class hydrogen city” by 2025.
Currently, Fairmont has a global portfolio of 76 hotels in 26 countries, including six properties in China: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Yangcheng Lake (in Kunshan, Jiangsu province), Chengdu and Wuhan.
The luxury hotel brand now has 22 hotels and resorts in the pipeline slated to open by 2023 in destinations including Hanoi, Phuket, Mumbai, Seoul and Guiyang in China.
